A lil more about me/the band

What's up everyone? My name is Justin Sims. I am the drummer for PictureMeFree, based out of Clemson, SC. I started playing drums when I was 10 years old. From the first time I ever sat down behind the kit, I was hooked. I've grown up in a musical family, so music is all I know. Yes, I'm pretty lucky I know. I play kit for the band, but I was lucky to play timpani, marimba, latin percussion, African percussion, and more while I was studying percussion at Clemson University. Worked my butt off but had a blast.

The band has been doing some great stuff over the last few years. We started out just playing downtown Clemson almost 3 years ago and now we are launching a tour going from Tampa, FL all the way up to Toronto, ON!!! Some highlights so far: we've had the honor to open for Blues Traveler (hung out with them...extremely cool guys), Marshall Tucker Band, Colbie Caillat, and Perpetual Groove. All have been amazing experiences and just one step closer to achieving our goals as a band! I will be posting more info about the band/tour as it goes on. I plan on postin videos from shows/trips in the van. Usually some funny stuff taking place. Hopefully we can get it caught on tape! Make sure you check us out online!

Also, I've posted a video of our song "Believe In Me" Hope you enjoy!/span>
The photos you are seeing were recently taken at a photo shoot that me and the guys did for Yamaha. (I will post more soon) I recently signed on with Yamaha as a Yamaha Rock Tour Rebel, aka an endorsee of the new drumset. So keep an eye out for me on the Yamaha site/maybe some drum mags. If you haven't seen this new kit, you got to! Its awesome! It will be hittin stores this month! www.yamaha.com to check it out and www.simsmusic.com to buy it!
